We don’t always get Cooper’s (or Dewey’s) photo right on the first shot*. Here are some pics that didn’t make the cut.
*Cooper flew into the shot to show Dewey how it’s done.
* Due to the photographer and through no fault of the models, of course.
Cooper loves this teacup commemorating the birth of Princess Margaret Rose (1930).
(even though she thinks blue budgies would have been more royal)
Little Lemon head (that’s what we’re calling her until we pick a name) is settling in. She’s been chirping, checking out her toys and eating her seed (she didn’t touch her lettuce). She’s still wary, though, and flaps around the cage when I put my hand in. Guess it’s time to break out the millet!
Meet the newest member of our flock!
She is a “re-homed” budgie. She looks a little scraggly because she’s moulting. She’s not tame at all, so while she’s in quarantine we’ll have to work on that. And she’ll need a name, too!
Someone is missing a throat spot.
Could it be Cooper?
Maybe it’s Dewey?
I guess that just leaves…
Yep, it’s Ozzie!
Check out this absolutely amazing budgie cake!
This is just one of the incredible cakes made by Cakes by Beth:
The cake was modeled after her very own (and very dapper and distinguished) budgie, Nathan!
Here is Nathan just after his bath.
And here is Nathan in all his pin-feathered glory.
A couple of bird catalogs arrived in the mail. So many toys! Cooper and Dewey are already making up a wishlist..
