This month’s movie was Barbarella.
This movie, based on a French comic strip, is about the adventures of Barbarella. Barbarella (played by Jane Fonda) is sent to the planet Tau Ceti to retrieve the evil Doctor Durand Durand. Cooper thought this movie was ridiculous, but loved all the costume changes. Cooper’s favorite scene was when Barbarella was put in a cage to be pecked to death by birds.
Ridiculous?! It’s a great movie! An American Classic! I had forgotten about the parakeet scene. I suppose Cooper and Dewey are too young to have been in it. Maybe in the remake? Starring Lindsay Lohan!
Oh, Cooper didn’t say it was bad. Ridiculous could be a good thing…
Maybe her ancestors were in it??
