Hmmm. This looks familiar. In fact, it was only three months (to the day) that he went through his last bad moult. Not much of a break for the poor little guy. Maybe the budgies are trying to synch up their moulting. I’ve got a rather motley crew at the moment.

Poor little guy! Cooper has been so tired and lazy because of her latest moult. I hope this goes better for Dewey.
Just shave them bald and let them start fresh from scratch. 🙂

oh wow, poor little Dewey.
When our budgie had such an extreme molt that we were afraid he was sick, a pet store owner suggested offering him safflower seeds. She said that not all budgies like them, but fortunately our bird just loved them. It may have been a coincidence, but he never had such a bad molt again.
Ooh – I’ll have to try those. The moults this year have been pretty bad for some reason.
