Meet Tweety!Tweety lives with Annette in Long Island, New York.I adopted Tweety in August 2015. He was about a year old. I went into my local parrot shop to buy food for my African Grey parrot and saw Tweety in a cage beside me. I immediately asked what the situation was with that Parakeet. I was told that someone had given him up because they had a cat and were worried. He told me that the bird talks. I held Tweety on my finger and immediately fell in love. He was also very tame. I asked to adopt him and gave a donation and took him home. I was given some information from the previous owner, like his birth month and year, some words and phrases that he says and what he liked to eat. Tweety was hatched in April 2014. He likes apples, bananas, eggs, yogurt, millet, and crackers. He’s learned many more words and phrases since then.He lives with 7 other birds and a cat named Snickers. He’s learned some of my other birds names like Kiki, Bloo, Sunny and Sadie. Here is a list of words and phrases he can say: What ya doing?, baby bird, Thank you! Beautiful bird, you’re so cute, cutie pie, Hi, how ya doing?, come here, cat, you’re so pretty, beautiful bird, gimme a kiss xoxo,Chubby bird, I love you, baby, Tweet, Tweety bird, chirpy chirpy, I’m sowee (without pronouncing the r) and some others I can’t think of off the top of my head. He also speaks a little Spanish (I guess from previous owner). His flock mates are Bloo (parrotlet), Kiki (Quaker parrot) rescued, Sadie (African grey) adopted, Lucky (Senegal parrot) rescued, Sunny (Parakeet) rescued, Yaro (dilute green cheek conure) and Froggy (turquoise green cheek conure).
