It has information on choosing and cleaning a cage, what to feed (and not feed) your bird, handling your pet, etc. The book is filled with cute illustrations (by Rick Peterson) and photos. Some of the photos are by Cooper&#8217;s friend <a href=\"http:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/?p=7182\">Karon Dubke<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/book2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10739\" src=\"http:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/book2.jpg\" alt=\"book2\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/book2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/book2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/book2-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a>Cooper was excited to see Karon&#8217;s budgies, <a href=\"http:\/\/cooperscorner.info\/?p=6629\">Bert and Ernie<\/a>, in the book. She also liked that the book states that animal shelters and rescues are the best places to get new pets.
