James Gurney is the author/illustrator of the Dinotopia series.
He is also a paleoartist, who depicts and restores in his paintings extinct fauna. Gurney has designed stamps, illustrated book covers and written books on art instruction.
Gurney’s budgie Mr. Kooks was also a very talented artist.
Great artwork. I would have read these when I was a child. Should make a budgie-topia, I’d read that now.
