And Then There Were Five…

Look what I brought home today!

boxNope, it’s not a Doodlebug.

newIt’s an adorable budgie!  I picked it up at the animal shelter. It’s another mystery bird – it was found outdoors and has no leg band. It will be in quarantine for a month, but the budgies are already chirping back and forth. Not sure of it’s age or whether it’s male or female. I’ll have to ask the experts on http://talkbudgies.com/. And of course, the little cutie will need a name…

  1. Im going with what I suggested on Facebook: Cloudy! I mean, he looks like clouds in the sky, and you already have a Sunny.

Or if don’t like that, Lil Polt works just as well. 🙂

    HUGS…

  2. You’re so funny! When I saw the post, I said oh no, a 5th budgie! These budgies are lucky that you keep saving them.

  3. Hey! there were four when I left this morning. Welcome to the house, can’t wait until you get to meet the flock.

  4. Woohoo! Welcome home little guy! He’s adorable! And by the way, he is definitely male; I also think he may still be a little young judging by the purple on his cere. And also his color mutation is dominant pied…

    • Well, I’ve never been able to eat one potato chip. I usually eat the whole bag! Maybe I better start looking into aviaries…

  5. You should name the new budgie Skylar because he looks like the sky
