This month’s movie is Dumb and Dumber.
Dumber and Dumber is about two good-hearted, but incredibly stupid friends who drive across country to return a briefcase full of money to its rightful owner.
Cooper did not like that the star of the movie, Harry’s budgie, Petey, met an untimely end at the hands of kidnappers (and was then sold to Billy, the blind boy in #4C).
Despite the budgie violence, Cooper found the movie amusing. She hopes there will be more budgies in the upcoming sequel.
Those kidnappers are some really bad people. I hope they were harshly punished for killing Petey.
Ah, good flick-review, Cooper. Well done. Despite the bad guys having “killed” Petey, in reality the Budgie who played Petey was treated very well on the set. I watched his cage-area scenes in slo-mo and was impressed by how spotless the cage was & by Petey’s calm demeanor. It’s obvious they didn’t keep Petey in that cage for one second longer than needed to get the shot as evidenced by the two very full food & water bowls and by the spotless cage floor (not so much as empty husk nor one poo!). Petey was well provided-for and his needs were met before and above all else. So ya see, Cooper, Petey was just pretending. He was damn convincing too, huh…!? That kid’s name will be in lights some day… 😉 But still, NEVER will Petey have Cooper’s talents, charm, looks, sophistication, elegance, integrity & honesty (e.g., not everyone can make “art” out of their “bloopers,” but Cooper passes that off successfully every time!). And still you ask: “What the frig is this kid doing holding a plastic Budgie who’s duct-taped at the neck…?! Weirdo!” Alas, life is often not what it seems, but it can be fun, as Cooper demonstrates every day!
