Rub a Dub Dub
She’s out of the tub!
Here she is in the small cage. She’s on her own until she gets her strength back, but she’s in the same room as the rest of the flock. 
Here are Cooper and Alfie at the vet yesterday. Cooper had a Lupron injection so that she won’t make another egg. Alfie has been a bit under the weather, so he went in for an exam. Turns out he has some bacteria in his system, so he’s on antibiotics to help clear that up.
Cooper decided to turn her new toy into confetti to celebrate being out of the tub.
She’s done a little bit of flying around (not too much, it tires her out). And she’s been doing LOTS of preening. I think she’s wondering where her underfluffies are.
We’re sooo glad she’s home and that she made it over the hump. I think the other budgies are glad she’s back, too : ).

Meet Prutske!
Prutske lives in Antwerp, Belgium with Inge.
His favorite toys are his bells, and he loves juicy fruits like grapes and nectarines.
He sometimes says cute (and naughty) things too. “Can I have a kiss (but in Netherlands), ma b*tch, what’s the matter”.
Sometimes he thinks he’s a bat, then he is hanging upside down flapping his wings very fast.

1096 Days of Emmy
Three years ago, today, we brought little Emmy home.

Today
Emmy is our sweet baby. She still takes the occasional snooze on the bottom of the cage (bum in the air), and she likes to hang out on the bridge or on one of the new platforms. Her favorite place to be, though, is Sido’s cage. When Sido is out, Emmy makes herself right at home.
Emmy is a good eater and does a great job with her mash. She’s very messy and gets it all over her face – good thing she loves to take baths. She, Sunny and Ozzie are still our “Three’s Company” trio. Emmy also likes to run around on the floor with Alfie (looking for stray seeds).
Emmy has come such a long way from when she first moved in. I thought I would never see the day when she would step up. But she is a pro now, and even accepts kisses. Her whipped cream belly is my favorite place to plant a smooch on her. We couldn’t ask for a more adorable budgie.
