We don’t always get Cooper’s photo right on the first shot*. Here are some pics that didn’t make the cut.

* Due to the photographer and through no fault of the model, of course.

Today is also the second anniversary of Cooper’s Corner – so the budgies had two reasons to celebrate.
Dewey started with an appetizer of oats (his favorite). Yum!
The main course was Momma Bird’s Caribbean Loaf Birdie Bread (with a side of grated carrot). Ozzie digs in.
He went back for a second helping.
And a third helping. He needs to work on his table manners, though. We don’t get in our food to eat it, Alfie.
The budgies had fresh Granny Smith apple slices for dessert.
*Cooper wanted it to be called “Budgie Day” until she found out what happens to the turkeys.
Meet Gracie!
Gracie (a cockatiel) lives in North Carolina with Susan, budgies Ellie, Tucker and Oscar and newly rescued cockatiel, Jojo.
Gracie’s favorite person is Susan’s husband. If she hears his voice on the cell phone speaker she goes crazy.
Dirds! Birds with dog heads and dogs with bird heads.
This month’s movie is Dumb and Dumber.
Dumber and Dumber is about two good-hearted, but incredibly stupid friends who drive across country to return a briefcase full of money to its rightful owner.
Cooper did not like that the star of the movie, Harry’s budgie, Petey, met an untimely end at the hands of kidnappers (and was then sold to Billy, the blind boy in #4C).
Despite the budgie violence, Cooper found the movie amusing. She hopes there will be more budgies in the upcoming sequel.
