Budgie Buy
This budgie box from Bed, Bath and Beeeeyond! (this is how I say it in my head)
This is the small size – it also comes in medium.
Cooper is not pleased that there isn’t any millet in the box.
They’re also selling this budgie print that I did not buy. Yet.
Cooper’s Talent Show
Corienne Pretorius was mystified when a package containing gift boxes arrived from Amazon. Neither she nor anyone in her family had ordered them.
She finally concluded that Buddy, her African Grey parrot activated her smart Amazon Echo device to place the order.
Buddy can mimic her voice (though he doesn’t talk when she’s around). Pretorius heard him talking to Alexa in the next room and put two and two together. You can read more about Buddy and his Amazon order here.
*It’s a good thing my flock doesn’t talk. Millet and toys would arrive at our door nonstop.

Rhea
One of the risks we take when we decide to let a pet into our hearts is the heartbreak we will go through if/when we say goodbye. Rhea the Naked Birdie, the little lovebird with Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She was adopted from a vet clinic by Isabella Eisenman, who set up an Instagram account and facebook page for the tiny bird. Rhea quickly became a superstar with thousands of adoring fans – many of whom sent her hand knitted garments. 
Rhea has inspired many with her message that “different is beautiful”.
Cooper and the flock hope that Rhea knows how beloved she was and that somewhere she is flying free and preening her glossy new feathers.
