Felix loves to pal around with Ozzie and Harvey. He is usually the first one to fly out of the cage and he’s very good at getting out undetected (he’s a regular little Houdini). I still never know whether I will get a kiss or nip from him at bedtime. But there are more kisses than nips.
Here is Felix, aka: Mr. Gorgeous, on one of his favorite perches – the top of the green mirror. He also loves to chat to the mirror. But who wouldn’t want to talk to such fine looking fellow?
Sunny is the “sweet one”. She never nips and is very gentle. Unless you’re a female budgie. Sunny is no pushover. Sunny absolutely loves taking a bath. I think she was a merbird in another life.
Sunny has made a couple visits to the vet recently because she’s been having problems flying. Our vet thinks she may have pulled a muscle. So she’s been grounded (stuck in the cage) and has been taking pain meds. She seems perfectly healthy and happy otherwise. But it would be nice to see her fly around again.
Sunny is a darling little girl who lives up to her name by brightening up our lives.
Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption event, takes place today.
Both Alfie and Ozzie were adopted from the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services.
Sido was adopted from the Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary.
