Usually it’s Cooper who likes to promote the heroes, shelters and rescues who help her feathered friends. Today, it’s Harvey’s turn.
Working hurricane relief, when suddenly… On reddit
“lil buddy” is doing just fine, has made a ton of friends. It’s amusing to watch all these soldiers drop what they’re doing to come feed him peanuts….lil buddy has been supervising the relief effort from a high perch. With the OPTEMPO we’re pushing here it’s hard to keep track of him but the marines have spotted him a few times. And I will do what I can to reunite “lil buddy” with his home.

If you are looking to volunteer or donate, the Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, RedRover and Best Friends Animal Society are all assisting animals affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Cooper’s Book Report
This month’s book is I Hate Everyone, Except You by Clinton Kelly.
This book is a collection of humorous essays about TV personality/fashion consultant Clinton Kelly. Despite the fantastic cover, however, there is not one mention of budgies. Cooper was not pleased.
New Toy – August
I don’t know the name of this one – it’s from our local bird store.
This one is a hit. All the photos I took of the budgies chewing on it were blurry – they were non-stop motion. 
I did get one photo of Emmy “posing“. And one of Cooper and Sunny looking like they are good at sharing (they’re not).
