There are so many amazing and talented birds in the world that Cooper decided to showcase one every month.
This is A.J., an Indian Ringneck Parakeet performing some amazing tricks. He even made an appearance on the Martha Stewart show.

Sunny is OBSESSED with the paper towels. She figured out how to go through the “tunnel”. I think she’s trying to turn the tube into a nest and start a little family with Dewey. Here she is in action:
Here’s a video Harry took of Alfie showing the bells who’s boss.
Alfie has been spritzed with the spray bottle, but he took his first official bath the other day.

His buddy Ozzie shows him what to do.
He took to it like a duck to water. Maybe they should change that to a “budgie to water”.

Last night Harry and I attended the Free Flight Tropical Sunset Fundraiser. Free Flight is an exotic bird sanctuary in Del Mar. You can read more about them on the Free Flight website. We had a lot fun – they had a bar, delicious food, a silent auction and a great band.
A Blue and Gold Macaw greeted the guests.
Harry with a Hyacinth Macaw. She was very sweet. I got to feed her some grapes, a carrot and some banana.
Here I am with an Eclectus parrot (males are green and females are red).
Here is Harry with a cockatoo on a visit we made a week ago.
This parrot let me scritch its pin feathers – much bigger than a budgie’s!
