In the spotlight – Sunny!
She really is a little ray of sunshine. Our Sunnerbunners is the sweetest little budgie. She’s come such a long way since we first brought her home. It took a loooong time for her to trust us enough to step up. When she’s out of the cage, it’s rare for her to step up – unless she’s on the far right side on top. Then it’s okay : ). Sunny loves to throw things off the top of the cage. I have to be careful what I put there, or a seed or water dish will be upended. And she LOVES her bath. She rolls around like a little puppy. Video of that soon to come!
The early bird catches the bookworm
Sunny likes to hide behind the books. Well, she did. The bookshelf has been removed due to excess book nibbling.

730 days of Sunny
Two years ago today we brought home our sweet Sunny.
She has come such a long way. With patience and time (lots and lots of time) we won her trust. She steps up (most of the time), will give a kiss and is quite the adventuress.

Where’s Sunny?
The budgies love to be out and about. They get into everything, so I’m always counting them to make sure I know where they are. There is one little budgie, however, who likes to play hide and seek…
I wonder where Sunny could be?

They were under the shade (it wasn’t all the way up) trying to make a break for it. Yikes! Looks like I’m going to have to keep the windows closed unless I can watch them every single second. Sigh.

The budgies enjoyed a veggie salad today (grated carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and zucchini – and a little romaine lettuce).
Alfie couldn’t even wait for me to put the dish in the cage.
