Cooper Cup
There was quite a brouhaha (or should I say, “brewhaha”?) over Starbucks’ holiday cup not being festive enough this year.
Just needed a bit of budgie, I think.
Cooper’s Cuties
Meet Heaven!
Heaven lives in Texas with Eve.
Her favorite food is dandelion greens and various herbs. She loves millet spray but always chooses her herb mix over anything else.
Heaven loves bird kabob toys, piñatas and anything that she can shred. She loves dancing to Spanish rock music, sleeping on her swing, preening her humans (and their hair brushes).
She also enjoys crawling into pockets, attempting to get into nostrils and ears, snuggling in long sleeves and flying around. She’s quite the expert pilot.. she’s mastered landing upside down on the ceiling air vent!
Heaven has her own facebook page.
Birthday Budgie
Look who is 2(ish)!
Here is Harvey with his birthday millet. He also had kale and Romaine lettuce.
Harvey’s birthday present is still in the mail. Boo. But when it arrives, I’ll post a photo. Until then I put some of the budgies’ old toys (new to him) in the cage.
Happy birthday Harvey! We love you!

Lovebird Showcase
Who wouldn’t want a budgie marshmallow in a hot cup of cocoatiel?
Cooper says…
“If it’s not budgie, it’s crap!!”
Cooper’s Song of the Month
“Birds of Winter” by Zamfir (Master of the Pan Flute!).
When the cockatiel’s away…
…the budgies will play.
The budgies love hanging out in Sido’s cage – playing with her toys and eating her food. I think Emmy would move in if she could.
Free Flight Holiday
Yesterday we visited the Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary to visit the birds and do a little holiday shopping. We decided on these drinking glasses, that are also available on CafePress.
The birds also have a “Dear Santa list” for toys or donations.
Aussie, Harley and Dusty (or maybe it’s Aussie, Dusty and Harley…)
Aruba and Kiwi – These two are little cuddlebunnies.
Ozzie shows us how to floof.
Baby Bird – such a cute little clown.
Peanut is a sweetheart. In a perfect world, all birds would fly free.
