Foraging
Just a little clip of Sido and the budgies “foraging” for food.
*Sido is only allowed to be out with the budgies only under supervision. And we usually don’t let them get this close.
The Boys
Here’s what the boys are up to:
Felix is moulting.
Harvey (our hormone with wings) wants to be with the ladies.
Alfie (our stomach with wings) is sneaking some of Sido’s food.
And Ozzie is blissed out (nibbling on a string).
Odds and Ends
I didn’t have time to work on a post for today, so here’s a little video of Sunny (kind of) playing with the rings. She was weaving in and out of them until she saw the camera…
And here’s a photo of the flock. Ozzie and Felix are jockeying for position. Emmy kept hiding behind the play gym. Harvey wouldn’t face the camera and Alfie was falling asleep. This was the best we could do. Hopefully one day I’ll get a nice, clear shot of them all together.

A Swimming Sensation
Clear the Shelters
Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption event, takes place today. Nearly 20,000 pets found a forever home at last year’s drive. 
Both Alfie and Ozzie were adopted from the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services. Sido was adopted from the Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary.
If you’re thinking of adding a pet to your family, please consider adoption. There are many pets in the shelters and rescues who need loving homes.
