Meet Billie!

Billie lives in the United Kingdom with Carly.

(pinnies!)

Billie is a nearly 6 months old yellow face dominant pied.
He loves to be out of his cage flying about and likes to sit on my head!
He’s just started talking, saying a few words/phrases like “you’re soo cute” “mummy’s baby budgie” “give me a kiss” “pretty birdy” and gives me kisses
He loves listening to other budgie videos on YouTube…this is where he’s learnt some words and phrases…then he goes crazy when I turn it off or it finishes
His favourite fruits are apple and strawberries and his favourite veg is lettuce,celery,spinach and carrots..he likes his veges more

He loves millet as his treat and will do almost anything for it! When he doesn’t want to go back into his cage I put some millet in his cage then he goes straight in
Billie loves his bell and likes ringing it by swinging on it shaking it so it rings..he also talks to his bell and kisses it saying “kiss kiss kiss” to it

Meet Wiki!

Wiki (short for Wikileaks) lives in Australia with AnnMarie.

Wiki loves clicker training, with all the challenges that presents. His favourite tricks are running through the slinky, turning around and fetching. Putting things into other things is a big favourite! He’s determined to prove to the world that budgies can keep up with those bigger parrots, and what they lack in size they make up for with enthusiasm!

Playing isn’t limited to training – he has a favourite green ball which he will follow around everywhere, and loves toys with bells on. Anything which can be grabbed and thrown, or even better – destroyed! He particularly loves “approving paperwork” left lying around by “signing” it with his beak.

His favourite veggies are broccoli, carrot and baby spinach, along with pulling seeds out of capsicum and strawberries. Millet spray is his favourite training reward.

He really loves the sound of his own voice, and if he can amplify it by talking into a hollow object, all the better. After a long day of destroying things, flying around, doing tricks and going about his budgie business, he likes to perch on AnnMarie’s hand and go to sleep, preferably while she is trying to use that hand.

Meet Indi!

Indi lives in Australia with Lyn.

This handsome little fellow loves attention and will nip at Lyn’s mum’s hand if she is doing something other than giving Indi the attention he deserves. Indi helps with the washing and with bookwork and has learned to say, ” You’re going back to your cage”.

Indi’s favorite foods are carrots, corn, snow peas, broccoli and silverbeet. He loves veggies more than fruit.

Indi loves his oval shaped bell and rope swing, but his favorite toy is the plastic “flower” pictured above.

Meet Spock!

Spock lives in Norway with Else.

My little man is a spangled yellow and green budgie. He likes music and seems to love jazz, especially if sung by a mellow voiced woman. He also likes manly rumbling voices, explosions on the TV and grapes. So far he seems the quiet type, a little shy but cuddly and playful when he is comfortable.

Spock seems to love things he can lift and wrestle with. He’s a bit funny about one of his swings though. I’ve put a long stick up in my roof as a perch for him, and a swing dangling near it. He won’t sit on the swing but he loves pushing it back and forth.

He’s very skeptical about new foods, but if I cut fruit or vegetables into teeny tiny pieces he will try some.. if I hand feed him at least.

Meet Ellie, Oscar and Tucker!

These little cuties live in North Carolina with Susan.

Oscar and Ellie came from Craig’s list and looked terrible when I got them. Ellie and Oscar were bonded – but now she is in LOVE with Tucker (but sometimes I will see her snuggling up to Oscar).

Ellie: Her favorite treat is carrots and sweet potato (I hang them from a kabob and she eats and shreds them). Her favorite toy is anything she can shred.

Oscar: His favorite treat is Lafeber’s Avi-cakes. He loves all toys, the kind that spin, bells and mirrors. I think he is VERY intelligent. He will not step-up, but all I have to do is say, “Oscar go in” and he flies right into the cage. He isn’t scared of me or anything – he just doesn’t give in. He hates Gracie (the family cockatiel).

Tucker: His favorite treat is millet and his favorite toy… hmmmm… he just loves Ellie.

Meet Snowy!

Snowy lives in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.

Snowy was a shy little thing when we first got her two months ago. Now she is a feisty little hen who chirps up a storm everyday.

She loves hanging out with her pal Nana and taking a bath. She loves anything she can shred and anything with a bell and a jangly noise. Her favourite treats are – yep you guessed it!!! Millet and Cress!! She loves tearing it to shreds straight from the soil.

Meet Winter!

Winter lives in Bangladesh with Rashu.

Winter used to be a selfish and jealous budgie growing up. He would bully Sky and Emmett because I’d play with them sometimes. He’d compete with Emmett by stretching his body to make himself look taller than Emmett, and would kick him down if Emmett managed to look taller.

He likes seeds mainly. He avoids treats but often chows down on spinach with pleasure – and boiled corn.

He’s not fond of any of his toys, but he loves being poked with a feather – he will chase after a feather as I move it around.

Regardless of his selfish nature, he is affectionate towards me and his flock (even if he bullies them). He is obsessed with my nose. That’s probably his favourite activity, nibbling on my nose. lol

Meet Taro!

Taro lives in Washington with Garance. He’s around 4-5 months old and half English budgie.

He loves playing with his toys (especially ones he can shred), singing and hanging out with Felix. He’s shy and a bit clumsy. His favorite foods are millet and broccoli. He used to be tame but now dislikes people.
