matIt’s the Mini Activity Wall from Super Bird Creations! I like that I can hook on whatever toys I want. I have a lot of leftover parts from old toys that I can clip on it. sHere’s a pic of Sunny not playing with it.aoAnd one of Alfie and Ozzie, who won’t go near it.cCooper gives her review.

I’m hoping the budgies will work up their courage enough to investigate. Maybe hooking on some marshmallows (birdie kabobs) or millet will entice them. Sigh.

Movie Review – Come September

This month’s movie is Come September.cs1In the romantic comedy Come September,wealthy Robert (Rock Hudson) travels to his Italian villa to meet up with girlfriend Lisa (Gina Lollobrigida). Once there, he discovers his major domo has been renting out the villa as a hotel. His “guests” (a group of teenage girls and their chaperone) and a group of teenage boys camping on his lawn manage to upend Robert’s romantic plans. Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin also star as teens who fall in love.cs3Cooper’s favorite character was mischievous Cedric.cs2She thought the voyeuristic, champagne sipping budgie stole the movie (he appears in six scenes). She also liked the song “Multiplication” sung by Bobby Darin, as it featured parakeets in the lyrics.

Keeping Cool

We’ve been having a bit of hot weather in San Diego. To beat the heat the budgies have been playing in the water.

Alfie is always the first to the food. He was more about the lettuce (as you can see from the ever present food on his beak). w2Cooper was the only one who was really into the watermelon. Yum!w1
