On this day last year, we went to the pet store to buy a goldfish.
But they were all looking a little ragged.
So we came home with an adorable blue budgie instead.

My adorable nephew Cole came over the other day.

We went to Seaport Village. One of the local bird rescue organizations brought their birds out.

We got a couple of balloon animals. Cole got Pluto and I got a budgie. Well, it’s supposed to be a budgie. The balloon guy didn’t know what a parakeet was (!), so this was the best he could do.
I’m still trying to get some good flying photos of the budgies. Here are a couple of Cooper:
