Look what came in the mail!
A box from Susan filled with budgie goodness: Budgie cards, budgie figurines, books, a cute little budgie tray and a bunch of budgie stickers! How lucky am I? Thank you Susan!
A Trip to the Vet
Yesterday Cooper, Dewey and Ozzie went to the Vet! Dewey went to have his leg band closed up (it was open and catching on toys) and his Fu Manchu nails trimmed. Because Ozzie was a rescue bird from the animal shelter, he was eligible for a free exam. Cooper just went along for the ride.
Here they are in their travel cage in the waiting room.
Cooper decided to take a bath in the water dish. What a nut.
In the examination room. The little basket Ozzie is in is the scale. The budgies looked so tiny when the doctor examined them. He even listened to their hearts with a stethoscope – it was too cute.
Here is Dewey looking very dapper with his closed band and trimmed nails. The budgies were very brave and did a great job – so they were all rewarded with millet when they got home (Sunny, too!).

Budgie – the Welsh hard rock/heavy metal band. Cooper loves to rock out to their music. And she thinks their album cover art is fantastic.
Cooper would like the band to know she’s available as a muse/album cover model/video star.

Cooper’s Cuties
Meet Ellie, Oscar and Tucker!
These little cuties live in North Carolina with Susan.
Oscar and Ellie came from Craig’s list and looked terrible when I got them. Ellie and Oscar were bonded – but now she is in LOVE with Tucker (but sometimes I will see her snuggling up to Oscar).
Ellie: Her favorite treat is carrots and sweet potato (I hang them from a kabob and she eats and shreds them). Her favorite toy is anything she can shred.
Oscar: His favorite treat is Lafeber’s Avi-cakes. He loves all toys, the kind that spin, bells and mirrors. I think he is VERY intelligent. He will not step-up, but all I have to do is say, “Oscar go in” and he flies right into the cage. He isn’t scared of me or anything – he just doesn’t give in. He hates Gracie (the family cockatiel).
Tucker: His favorite treat is millet and his favorite toy… hmmmm… he just loves Ellie.
