The Case of the Missing Tail Feathers
One of the budgies lost its tail feathers? But which one?
Cooper P.I. is on the case!
First she examined the evidence.
Then she made a list of the usual suspects.
A visit to the scene of the crime was in order.
After a little surveillance, Cooper determined that Dewey was not the guilty party.
Ozzie is impeding the investigation. Highly suspicious!
But it looks like he’s in the clear.
Sunny appears to be innocent.
As well as Alfie (who was not even in the room at the time).
After all that sleuthing Cooper is stumped. Who on earth could those feathers belong to?
Guess this mystery might go unsolved…

Budgie Buffet
What could be more refreshing in the summer than a delicious fruit salad?
Cooper is always first on the scene.
Checking things out…
Cooper takes a nibble.
Dewey tastes a strawberry.
Sunny and Ozzie wouldn’t come near the fruit until I put it on a plate in their cage.
Of course, it was more fun to chew on the plate than the fruit.

Not sure what this is all about. It’s been warm, so maybe it’s their way of cooling off? Or maybe they’re just trying to look badass…

We don’t always get the budgies’ photo right on the first shot*. Here are some pics that didn’t make the cut.

It’s A Paper Towel Party!
The budgies were all about the paper towels today.
Of course, Cooper was the first to investigate.
A rare picture of Sunny and Cooper together (before Sunny chased her off).
Dewey patiently waited his turn.

I could not keep Sunny away from the towels. She was fascinated by them.

A Great Grater
While out and about I saw this mini-grater and thought it would be perfect for the budgies.
For their food! Not to use on the budgies! Sheesh.
I grated up some carrot, broccoli and apple (organic, of course)*. Clean up was a breeze!
*I may have added some millet to entice them…
And the budgies enjoyed their feast. Yay!
